Traffic in London is getting worse every day. The Olympics will only make it worse. Learning to ride a motorbike around London is the only solution to getting around.
Motorcycle Training London
Whether you’ve never ridden a motorcycle before, or you’re an experienced biker, 1st Place Rider Training will train you to pass your test. You’ll soon be zipping safely around London.
Full Motorcycle Licence
The first step to a full motorcycle licence is Compulsory Basic Training (CBT). New motorcyclists will need a CBT before they can ride on the road.
Unlike learning to drive a car, the only way you can learn to ride a motorbike legally is with a professional instructor.
We provide two training routes to a full motorbike licence, A2 Restricted Access and DAS – Direct Access.
A2 Restricted Access
A2 Restricted Licence is for those riders under the age of 21 or those who are happy to start out on a smaller motorbike. With our motorcycle training, you will pass your test on a 125cc motorcycle and you’ll be restricted to any bike with 33bhp or less for 2 years. The restriction is then removed and you can ride any motorbike.
An A2 Restricted Licence is the ideal way to start motorcycling around London and is favourite choice of the Capital’s scooter riders.

DAS London Direct Access
Direct Access Scheme (DAS) is for riders over the age of 21 who want to go straight onto a larger motorbike with more than 33bhp. Motorcyclists who use the motorways to get out of London, as well as around it, often prefer the power of a larger motorcycle for travelling longer distances.
Motorcycle Theory Test
All motorcycle licences require you to pass the theory test before continuing on to your Module 1 and Module 2 practical tests. We provide all pupils with a copy of the Highway Code and interactive learning software to help you study for your Theory Test.

Everyone has their own pace of learning. We can tailor your motorbike training around your needs and schedule. Our motorcycle instructors are patient and understanding, as our own pupils have testified.
